Internet Marketing & Time Management | How They Can Help You Make Extra Money Part Time

If you're new to online marketing and have been sucked in by the supposedly rich pickings that claim you can make extra money part time, you will realise after a few weeks or maybe a few months that to make extra money part time takes a lot more effort and time than just plugging into some auto-cash system.

I fell for the same dream and wasted a lot of money buying into useless bits of software that would somehow make me a pot of extra money only working part time. None of them lived up to the hype, but it took a while to get it out of my system as I kept being lured in again and again by the latest "shiny new toy" that would change my life forever.

My reality check came when I ran out of money and had to go back to basics and learn how to market properly. Although scary at the time, I had no intention of giving up, but now knew I had to generate an online living with zero marketing budget.

Actually, it was the best thing that happened to me, because 2 things changed.

Firstly, I unsubscribed to all the email lists that remotely smelt of "get rich schemes" which meant I no longer had any distractions about veering off course with another hair brained idea for making money.

Secondly, my focus totally altered.

I cut my overheads down to a minimum, stopped buying any luxuries and made sure that the essentials were covered, then I knew my head was above water no matter what and I could concentrate completely on making my business work through free marketing.

This is where the time management comes into play.

Quite often at the beginning you get overwhelmed by what you have to learn, sit there with a huge list of things to do and not knowing which to start with. The result is staring into space and achieving nothing.

You have to take positive action every day and this means structuring your week into segments and splitting those segments into different marketing strategies. Once you've picked the marketing that you feel will be most effective, you have to relentlessly keep adding more on a regular basis.

Coupled with this, you have to continually keep increasing your knowledge by hooking into the training aspect of your business.

I was lucky and found a UK marketing training facilty of which I'm still a member of and this was a huge find as it gave me a bluprint of steps to go through and goals to achieve. You still have to knuckle down and do the graft, but at least you can talk to people who have made it and been through the same situation.

I'm now in a position where everything is going great and I'm now passing on what I've learned down to whoever needs the advice, then you have every chance to make extra money part time, without all the temptations that I fell for.
