You have to master the basic marketing methods one at a time, become an expert in each one until the results start to show, then move on to the next step. This is where it’s crucial to follow a daily formula that has been tried and tested by others, then you can be confident that if you stick with the bluprint, it will work.

By working rigidly to a plan, it stops you from deviating into other areas and wasting your time on stuff that’s not relevant to the progress of your business. It should also save you money, by not tempting you into trying the quick fix of buying useless “overnight success products” that never work, but do put a drain on your finances.

The type of plan you pick will very much depend on the mentor you’ve put your trust in. Do they have a training plan ready that you can follow and be successful with, because it’s no good expecting to earn money from day 1, it just won’t happen, so they should explain how the process works and what you need to know to make it happen.

I was in exactly the same position for the first 6 months or so and ended up wasting a load of time and money I didn’t have, on products and methods that were useless, but luckily I found a great mentor just in the nick of time and he’s steered my business through to success. I just wish it had happened a lot sooner, so try not to fall into the traps I found, however tempted you might be.

There is no substitute for regular and persistent effort, combined with a proven daily marketing plan.
