How To Choose Suitable MLM Compensation Plans.

They are loads of different combinations of MLM compensation plans to choose from and a lot of them seem very complicated to get your head round. To find MLM compensation plans that will work for you involves a mixture of the plan itself and the product it’s linked to.

The compensation plan should be simple to understand and weighted in the favour of the person who has made the sale, because the problem with many of them is that your upline gets the lion’s share, leaving you with very little if you happen to be a long way down the line. This means you can end up waiting months before your first revenue starts to show and this could be the difference between success and failure if your cashflow is tight, like it is for the majority of newbies out there.

However, you have to factor in the product you are selling. You may find the most generous plan in the world, but if no one wants to buy into the product, you’re not going to make a living out of it, so it needs to be something that fufills a problem or provides a service that people want.

Likewise, you need to pick a product or service that you believe in, as you need to be able to get fired up about what you’re promoting every day, otherwise when you hit a few hurdles, which you inevitably will in the early stages, you’ll quickly give up and quit because your enthusiasm and belief has already dried up.

The crucial thing is to look into every aspect of the opportunity. Check out your mentor, are they easily accessible for help, do they offer training? Is the company behind the product reputable and successful, can they show you plenty of satisfied members? Is the compensation plan realistic and fair, how long will it take to get the business on a safe footing?

I’ve had experience of a couple of really good compensation plans, that were both weighted in favour of the recruit. The first was called “Get paid today” which is where you receive the full retail sale price of the product directly from the person you sold it to, then you pass on the wholesale price to the parent company and the difference is yours to keep as commission. This way you get paid immediately following the sale and you’re the one being rewarded for the hard work, instead of your upline.

The other plan, which I’m currently in, is known as the “Perpetual Leverage Compensation Plan” and this model is used in many other home business opportunities. The beauty of this plan is that it rewards all members the same amount at each level, so the downline get the same amount from each of their sales as the guy at the top. The ability to earn a substantial residual income comes from when the people you recruited start to make sales as well, because you get 50% of the commission on offer for each of their sales. So, if you had 10 team members, you would have the income from all their recruited members, plus all the new ones you were bringing on board as well.

Both these MLM compensation plans, plus plenty of others work really well combined with a sound back end product to generate the sales, so it’s just down to your research to find the most suitable for your business.
