What To Look For In A Travel MLM Opportunity.

The travel industry in the US alone generates billions every year, so a lot of people are looking into travel MLM businesses as a way to financial freedom. However, as with any other online business, there are loads of scams to fall prey to, so what should you check if you fancy starting a travel MLM opportunity.

Below I’ve put together a check list on how to evaluate a travel MLM business opportunity.

1- Find out who the parent company is behind the product. How long have they been trading? Do they have a proven track record? Do they belong to any credible organisations like the Travel Marketing Association, Better Business Bureau, or the Direct Selling Association?

2- When you look into the track record of the company, find out where the revenue stems from. Is it from travel products or from recruiting. Clearly it should be a mixture of both, but if it is predominantly from recruiting, that’s not a good sign, as it means the end product may be weak.

3- Check out the compensation plan. Is it easy to understand and do you receive a fair percentage of the sales as a distributor? How quickly can you start to earn, you don’t want to be waiting months because your upline has taken the majority of your sales commission. Ideally, you want a plan that splits your sales 50/50 with your upline, then you benefit from the hard work you’ve put in.

4- How big is the signing on fee? Is there a monthly membership fee? Do you have to buy any physical products, the chances are unlikely in the travel industry MLM businesses.

5- Is there an efficient system in place to handle all the travel customer business, because you need to know that they are being looked after, as this will ensure the long term survival of the business as much as the recruiting side.

6- Make sure you find out exactly what you will be promoting through your business. What kind of travel opportunity is it? It could focus on time shares, vacation clubs or maybe it’s price driven, so be comfortable that it’s something you can market positively. In other words, “will anybody buy it”, if it wasn’t for the fact it was attached to a business opportunity?

7- Who is your sponsor? What experience do they have and are they prepared to help you establish your business? Will they be honest of the task ahead of you, because this business isn’t easy and your success may take awhile, so it will depend on your determination to learn new skills and see it through as well as guidance from your mentor.

8- Will the product work regardless of the economy or the whims of fashion? Will it stand the test of time, because the best years of any MLM are when it matures and your downline has grown to the extent where you are getting regular residual incomes, even if you’re not involved as much.

9- Is the model duplicable? How simple will it be to recruit others? It needs to be a business model that anyone can do and get results from, as long as they put the effort in and learn how it works.

10- Does your travel MLM company offer comprehensive and effective training on how to generate leads and sponsor potential recruits? This should cover mindset, leadership and marketing techniques for your best chances of success.
